The recent protests in Nigeria over the rising cost of living have subsided, but there are growing concerns that they could resume. Corruption and acute poverty are fueling public anger, leading to demonstrations against the government. The economic crisis has severely impacted everyday life, with many Nigerians struggling to afford basic necessities. While the protests have ended for now, analysts caution that the underlying issues remain unresolved, and further unrest is likely if conditions do not improve.

Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from Kano.

The government doesn’t have its priorities straight. It is spending in infrastructures like subways in Lagos but the farmers wanting fertilizers to feed the population does not have a program set up to help them help in return the country.
It’s like aiming for a Mercedes Benz to reach your destination when a bicycle could do the job, or a motorcycle.

And they keep giving birth to more children, increasing the number of poor/miserable people and making it hard for resources to be allocated to those who really need them.

Fact check: It is in the streets of northern Nigeria where large groups of abandoned children carry bowls to beg for food. Not the whole of Nigeria. The Christian south doesn't have this type of problem.
