What happens to the race rankings when another boat is called in to help rescue ? Does the rescuing boat keep their position prior to the incident ?

Ow yeah that's right. The ABN Amro 2 went in to assist the Moviestar. They had just lost crewmember Hans Horrevoets who's body had to be taken back to his family. The moviestar wanted to save the ship at all costs, and didn't want to board on the ABN AMRO 2. So the ABN AMRO 2 had to wait a full 3 days before they could go on. The crew of the ABN felt like they were being used.
