10 years ago, Bouwe Bekking and his crew were involved in one of the biggest rescue operations in Volvo Ocean Race history as they were forced to abandon ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Here’s how their dramatic story unfolded…

Those Farr yacht design boats in the 2015-2016 race were truly terrible. So many keel issues…

Ow yeah that's right. The ABN Amro 2 went in to assist the Moviestar. They had just lost crewmember Hans Horrevoets who's body had to be taken back to his family. The moviestar wanted to save the ship at all costs, and didn't want to board on the ABN AMRO 2. So the ABN AMRO 2 had to wait a full 3 days before they could go on. The crew of the ABN felt like they were being used.
