When F-Zero came out it was the first title on the SNES besides Super Mario World. So how modern was it, and what advantages did it take from the new console?
In many ways Yumiko Kanki and Naoto Ishida continued to compose in the same tradition as the old NES-composers while they at the same time took advantage of a number of of features of the new machine to make some rather radical stuff.

Follow along with a full score and analysis of the samples to get a new new of a classic soundtrack.

What an undiscovered gem of a video! Thank you for covering so many tracks in such detail. I'm a very big fan of the game and the soundtrack, but had never noticed some of the subtleties you pointed out - especially the stereo component of the drum section in Death Wind. Hope you're able to find time to go over more games in the future - this was very cool and brought light to some parts of the soundtrack that most probably would never know about otherwise.
