Additional geographical fact: the desert-view around 1:35 is actually in northern Spain. The rock is called Castil de Tierra and is in the natural park "Bardenas Reales" - not comparable to the south west of the US, but I don't know anything as close as this in Europe. I only noticed as we visited it two years ago...

You skipped over Grauman's Chinese Theater (and its iconic footprints in cement) and Gower Gulch, where the original silent studios were located. Chaplin's studio was on La Cienega Blvd. Also the word "movie" was slang for the industry's employees, derogatory in nature, as a sign on local boarding houses "Movies not accepted as tenants". There was an ice cream parlor named C. C. Browns, not as famous as Scwabs, that was famous for homemade fudge and its clientele. (I was sad to see it go. 😨)
