Hallo Reini, auf dieses Video hab ich gewartet! Wenn TT schon 2 Versionen rausbringt sollte man meinen, sie würden die auch mal kurz im Vergleich vorstellen - nix da. Ich finde alle Deine Tasmanian Tiger Videos viel informativer als die Herstellerseite. Einen super großen Dank dafür!

Hallo Reini, ich hab mittlerweile den 15 Liter im Einsatz und den kleinen hab ich an meinen Kleinen Sohn weiter gegeben. Muss ganz ehrlich sagen ich finde beide Rucksäcke total tauglich. Deine Vorstellung ist wie immer total super. Gruß aus dem Erzgebirge sendet dir Danny

I have a carbon colored 15L pack.
unfortunately, it is a poorly designed pack.
1. they used 20 mm webbing for shoulder / sternum straps and should have made them longer for tall people.
molle webbing is standard 1" (25mm) - if you use the same webbing then you can replace buckles and hardware if something breaks in the field.

2. biggest problem is the small pocket in front - instead of sewing the pocket onto the bag, they cut the slot and inserted the pocket made out of thin material - now all the weight of the cargo sits on a small gauge ykk zipper waiting to split open (they used single row of stitches btw).
furthermore, they did not burnish the edges so there is fabric unraveling inside of the small pocket.

3. zippers used are ykk, but they are small tooth coil zippers, very fine and obviously not rugged - you do not want to stuff this bag to the top nor do you want to put heavy things inside.

4. buckles and plastic hardware are made by chinese woojin, while the older models had ITW nexus (USA) hardware.
older models also had an ITW whistle sternum buckle, while this one has woojin cheapo flimsy buckle.
good job, tasmanian tiger.

4.1. for carbon color they used black hardware / retention straps? why?

5.hydration bladder port is too small, has a hypalon (or something of sort) fabric slapped on and stitched with a single row of stitches.
slot is just cut, edges unprotected from unraveling?
this is a another cheap and poorly designed detail, made worse with mkII compared to 6L mkI.

6. bottom is a lot narrower than the top of the bag - though it is a good feature allowing a large opening for taking out / putting in stuff, there is no need for such a huge difference since it makes the top portion of the bag usable only for stuffing large, light things like jackets, shirts etc.

to conclude, I had an old mk I 6L first generation tt essential pack and I loved it, carried it almost every day 6 years and often stuffed it to the brim.
I wanted something as rugged and lightweight, but a bit bigger, so I took this mkII 15L.

tt designers slapped a bigger body onto the 6L chassis without even thinking about improving it, using more rugged zippers, double stitching where it counts - if there is one thing I do not want to think about in the field, it is zippers, webbing or buckles failing.
tasmanian tiger did a poor job on this product and I am sorry I bought it, but since I already paid the shipping, I will use it to the max to see how long will it last in the field.
I will probably sew on 25mm webbing and replace buckles with ITW, modify the pack in general but this takes time and money.

what do I like about it?
700D cordura, breathability, price (though I'd gladly pay 10€ more for a more thought out product).
I'd give it 5 out of 10.

Hab mir den zu Weihnachten selber geschenkt. Für ne tagestour reicht der vollkommen. Hatte essen, trinken, Wasser zum kochen/Kaffee, hobo, Trangia etc drin. Passt👍

Bin jetzt bei TT auch über das EP 15L eingestiegen und habe es mit dem Tecpouch 5 und einem Brillencase darüber erweitert.
Qualität ist wirklich klasse und für den Tagestrip oder für den täglichen Gebrauch ideal.

Die Variante Large habe ich als EDC im Auto. Kann das Teil nur empfehlen. Qualität ist super! habe mir noch ein paar Pouches dazugestellt. Für Wasserflasche, Taschenlampe und Kleinkram. Passt alles rein was man im Notfall (z. B. Stau im Winter) benötigt um es etwas leichter zu haben.

Die TT Pouch 8 auf den Kleinen gefädelt, ist eine super Lösung.Geht auch auf die Große.Vllt probiere ich mal TT Pouch 11 auf die Große zu fädeln.In die TT Pouch 8 passt sogar eine 1, 5l PET Flasche rein plus Kram.

Danke für das gute Review. Leiwand! Sag` mal, sind die Tragegurte beim "large" länger als beim 9-Liter Modell? Mit Jacke im Winter sind mit die vom kleinen Modell manchmal einfach etwas zu kurz. Vielleicht bin ich auch zu dick ....
