I’m sick of this shit. They need to federally legalize it. Not meth, not coke. Not heroin. Just weed. If alcohol can be legal so should weed. It’s not even half as troublesome. But Uncle Sam would rather you become an alcoholic. Tired of the government and corporations having access and control on our body

Truthfully it means nothing because it's either fully legalized or we're still playing a petty game of control.

Alcohol has completely ruined me in the worst scenarios I have ever seen in my life. I know before I was able to smoke weed and go cold turkey on the alcohol easily. But as soon as I got my driving job I was forced to go back to drinking again. I just couldn’t sleep and could no longer get my ambien refilled. I’m sure there are so many other people dealing with the same exact issue. And they wonder why no one can find drivers. Anyhow I’ve tried numerous persvribed drugs activities etc and the only thing that really really pushed me to stop drinking was cannabis. At this point I rather live a longer life with a new job than continue working under these bureaucratic rules.

Just legalize it! We don't want weed rescheduled.

The more accessible cannabis becomes, the better. I'm 75, a Vietnam veteran and have been using cannabis for 55 years. I have been able to get off alcohol as well as Methadone with the help of cannabis. I guess that's why I wound up in Oregon! Potent weed and low prices.

When will breath test become the norm for DOT?
Allow drivers to use off duty?
No one should be denied use of a legal substance when off duty.
No one should be allowed to be under the influence while on the job.

Cannabis has been legal in Canada for over five years and the sky didn't fall. You can legally buy, possess and grow your own (except Quebec you can't grow). Every town has a dispensary that sells Cannabis. No spike in DUI car crashes or OD's. Bonus, the police can spend their time going after real criminals like hard drug dealers etc.

This isn't anything but a move to benefit corporate interests, while at tge same time maintaining revenue and enslavement for the criminal system.

Dot should not test for marijuana, no one wants you drinking on the job but you can get piss drunk off the clock, so I should be able have a smoke off the clock,
and if it’s in my system from two weeks ago, I’m not under the influence two weeks later

Should have no schedule, less harmful than alcohol and tobacco. NO SCHEDULE PLEASE!!!!

As a Disabled Veteran with chronic pain in my neck, lower back, both knees with one totally replaced twice with failed results. Triggered fingers in both hands and constant headaches. VA pain management is a joke and their medication for chronic pain is basically narrowed to life or death situations. Living in constant pain is very depressing to say. What ever the out come for approval of marijuana for pain. I just may be interested in trying it to see how effective it is for my pain.

What I don’t understand is, DOT only drug test for schedule 1 drugs. So does that mean, there won’t be testing for marijuana any more?? As it will be under schedule 3!

When you say finalized law in September in your my estimation section are you accounting for the 30 day period from when the DEA makes their announcement and when it actually is finalized and put into action?

making sure the corrupt I mean corporate "health system" gets control and wealth . It's not drug addiction or drug abuse. As long as it's prescribed by your doctor 👍nothing unexpected here.

Every weed smoker is at risk for getting a dui because of the strict 5ng ml cutoff point. One puff of that and you will fail a drug test the next day. It's insane. If you get in an accident and the officer thinks you are impaired and you use a blood test to prove otherwise you are fucked. It's absolutely messed up and it happened to me. So unfair and cruel.
