I would boil longer and the pulp can be used for jam, if you can handle the seeds. Putting a little table or chair (something that can handle heat) in front of the oven to catch the juice helps. If the pan is left alone for a while more juice will come out. I bought mine 20+ years ago and can 1/2 gallons of juice every year. Another hint: Add a tablespoon of vinegar to the water and there will be less calcium build up.

I think in the future after it finishes boiling maybe have Kevin carry the tope two tiers to the counter by the sink and put the measuring cup or whatever in the sink so you don’t have to hold it and risk burning yourself. You may be already doing this since I am 3 years late watching. I am so glad you did this video because after your jam video I did look this product up and it’s nice to know how well it works, definitely worth the investment! I love your videos showing how you preserve your crop yields. You guys are an inspiration.

Folks, I know that most juicers made today are less than efficient. The one we had was comprised of stainless steel basket which was perforated to let the juice out, as well as a plate that had a surface that was roughed up industrially. The plate spins on the motor shaft, there is a tray shaped much like your juice collector piece. The berries are fed into the machine from the top, and the seeds were literally spun dry (almost). The output was significant. The machine was pretty big and powerful, and I think the sales price on it 30 years ago was somewhere in the neighborhood of $300. The best part about this machine is that you don't have to handle anything that's hot until you start cooking your jelly/jam! I'm not even sure this machine is made today. Suffice it to say, I'll hang onto mine! lol! I'm glad you got something that works for you.

If want to grow Backberries go back to the Bush and cut some branches off and get some hormone at the garden shop and dip the cutting part into the hormone and put in the ground. It has always worked for me.

Freedom Acres has a video about steaming a chicken & vegetables in the steamer/juicer. It came out really moist & falling off the bone. She didn’t show it but I bet she got some nice chicken broth in the reservoir. Another use for it other than juicing. Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇨🇱🇺🇸

Maybe you could try putting the berries in cheesecloth before boiling in the extractor and you might have fewer seeds in the juice.

Love blackberry jelly and the extractor is cool. But, gotta say, the Cowpokes shirt was funny. Better than a Boomer Sooners shirt though. My Mountaineers have y'all in Morgantown this year and owe a woodshed whoopin'. Lol. Let's go Mountaineers!!
