★★★★★ FIELD TEST Z-Trek Review - Xero Shoes, Z-trek - The Lightweight Packable Sport Sandal - Men
Показать описание
Hint: Go according their EXACT sizing, even if you swear by your size. Re-measure! You just might be surprised.
Pros:
- Compared to the Z-trail shoes, I love these especially because they "curve up" on the edges for added protection. I wear these Z-Treks on the trail, and I use the more-padded Z-Trails NOT on the trail but just trekking and walking around on cement-type surfaces. (I know I know... the names seem a little backwards to me; Z-Trek I use for the trail. Z-Trail I use for walking around/trekking.).
- Ultra-lightweight--perfect for backpacking (I use them as my "secondary shoes" when we get into camp, and also a bit on the trail to give my feet a rest from my massive boots).
- Grippy base. I barely slipped on some hairy surfaces (see video).
- Compact and easy to travel with.
- Comfy and barely slides once it's in place. I didn't have to adjust it all.
Cons: (more like "notes")
- Gets sweaty against the rubber, which is fine if I'm on a hike (I don't care)--just be aware of this if you plan on walking around all day (e.g. at work) with these.
- Thin base. I know this is the point of "barefoot shoes," just be very, very intentional with where you step. You will feel the smallest rock through these, which can be a good that you're "feeling the earth" (you hippy, you!) or not so good because small bits of pain can stack up on a hike... making a miserable hike. Don't mentally check out! Watch where you step!
