I'm blown away. I had no idea a Starling had that ability. 😮

You know, I'm actually surprised we humans never trained birds to just play music. I can imagine a parallel universe with bird bards entertaining the nobles.

it's not just imitating any human voice, but it's the exact voice of a male and female from the radio, my god, perfect mimicry.

To think that if these birds had the mental capacity for human language, they could speak to us directly. Wonderful birds.

It sounds almost exactly like one of those plastic record toys. With the pull string or sometimes battery compartment. It even includes some scratches and rewind-type sounds!!

Honestly sounding like that, i could see how old horror stories of dead people in the forest could start. If I'd heard that in the woods on my own I'd be running

sounds like an old radio with a tuning knob when you are trying to find the right tune and you go over the perfect zone everytime

Bird's are one of the most intriguing animals from a neurological perspective. So tiny and so complex, capable of things that rival other animals with brains that weigh as much as they do.

We rescued an injured baby blue jay many years ago and he stayed with us after he recovered and was a beloved part of the family for many years. He lived with our Cockatiels and after he grew up began saying all of the phrases the cockatiels used. They had a pretty big vocabulary and he even imitated the backup alarm on the trash collector's truck that backed into our cul-de-sac every Monday. Jayson was teh best pet ever.

I love starlings. I feed them from my porch all winter, and they build an annual spring nest in an electrical box out back. ❤

I’ve heard birds mimic words. But this one is much clearer than others I’ve heard. And, he does male and female voices! Pretty amazing!

it's so bizarre/surreal that some birds can emulate noises like these - really feels like they hit 'record' in their brain for certain noises and can just play it back at will.

Anyone interested look into the Lyre Bird - it's pretty incredible.
