The vocal range on birds is nothing short of amazing!

I love starlings.
I rescued one that had heat exhaustion, it spent the rest of its life trying to repay me with sticks and leaves where I worked and would land on my shoulder when I took food to tables outside.

I had a starling that was a rescued pet many years ago. He could bark, cry like a baby, say "Chirp" which was his name, and many more things. I still miss him.

I love the way his throat feathers move when he vocalizes, it’s very cool! He’s a lovely bird!

Starlings have a vast vocal range, able to mimic so many sounds. My favorite was one that had learned to mimic the sound of a little brook of flowing water - the rushing, bubbling, gurgling. So beautiful.
