Thank you for this video! The instructions are pretty straight forward, but there is nothing as good as a video to make it clear and also doable. Appreciate this!

Thank you, learned something new today..I have been using PC stones for at least 30+ yrs. And still do. I use to host parties back in the day, every spring and fall..I could never get anyone to book, because they loved my parties..I put a lot of effort into it, even tho the PC lady did the cooking, I did mostly about the stones, how and why I use them, I did little silly prizes from the dollar store, and the big finale was a brand new PC insulated bag to hold the 9x 15 stone dish..that anyone who placed a 100.00 order, their names were in a bowl and while they enjoyed the food, we had a winner! Now remember that was back in the mid 80’s to 90’s.. My kitchen was my happy place, so did about 4 dishes using my stones of course and had a print out of each recipe…I always had a very good outcome..once I did a PC bridle party, so…sold over 1, 000.00 again..in the 80’s. I’m 72 now, just thought I would share this from an old lady, remembering good ol days….with Pampered Chef! Best products in the world 🌎

Thank you Bianca.\! I bought an 8" Pampered Chef's stoneware pan for $7 CDN at a thrift shop. They sell here for $50. It was a burnt mess, totally unseasoned. I cleaned it up and now I am ready to begin seasoning it. I can hardly wait. This is my first piece of stoneware. LOL

Wonderful video! Thank you! Yes, I have a brand new pan I have been afraid to use it out of fear of messing it up. LOL
So I do not wash it with soap even the first time when I take it out of the box?
Should I maybe use some oil the first 2 times I use it if I am not going to be making greasy stuff in it?

The problem I have with simply hot water rinsing and scrubbing without soap is that the oil from certain foods stay with the stoneware and that can be detrimental in some situations. I had an experience where my wife made peanut butter cookies and then we washed it normally as shown in the video and then a week later cooked some mini quiche appetizers for a guest who had a peanut allergy and they had a full blown peanut allergy reaction. We couldn't even figure it out because there was nothing in the quiches we made that could have had peanuts, then we realized the stoneware is taking in and giving off every food you cook in it. If you make lobster rolls one week and someone is allergic to shellfish the next time you cook on it, maybe even five times later after you cook on it you can make people sick.

Does the seasoning make other foods taste like that. So if I put bacon in it and later bake cookies will the cookies have a bacon flavor?

I have a few of PC stone pans. How are ya'll storing yours? I'm afraid of my family breaking them just stacked in the cabinet so was gonna order a wooden pan rack.

How do you dry it? Can I just air dry it? Thank you.

Hi Bianca, Thanks so much for the great informational video! I recently purchased 3 pieces from a local thrift shop soaked them in hot water used a scrub bush let them dry waited . So today I pre-seasoned them with oil in a 450 degree oven. 1 piece is the Bundt pan Family Heritage 1440, 2nd piece is the Pampered Chef 10” Deep Dish Pie Plate Vanilla Glaze Family Heritage Stoneware, 3rd piece of stoneware is from another company and I believe it could be used as a small cookie stone etc.
My concern or question to you is have you ever used the Pampered Chef Bunt stoneware, or bakeware in general? and if so how many times should I pre-season before actually baking with it? Each of the items were taupe in color and seemingly never used.
I have a family event coming up and would love to use this for a scratch cake! Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Thank you for the great info, but what about the outside of the pan or roaster? How do I clean that part? Mine is quite dark due to years of cooking with it. Any ideas ?

My stoneware now had a nasty smell to it. I burned the food I was cooking by mistake and I can't get the smell or tough spots clean. Any advice??

I have this exact pan. It literally cracked 20 minutes ago in my oven. It was well seasoned. Had it for 20 years. The temp was 425 F. I had wrapped a salmon in foil and have cooked this way before. What do you think happened.

I just got my first PC and it is the stone pan. I'm looking at it not knowing what to do with it. Should I rinse it first or wash it with soap?

I have had stonware for years. I have noticed a smell from them. My husband says it smells like a dirty dishrag. I have always cleaned the pans with hot, hot, hot water and the scraper. Any idea why this has happened or how to correct it?
