Videos like this make it look so easy to start. Start-up costs like property and a building, utilities, cleaning, food, water and treats. Making sure that all the dogs are up to date on things like DPR as well as Bordetella (kennel cough shots) possible veterinary costs etc.

Our doggy daycare costs $25 a day ran by a veterinarian/farmer. We just have to bring his food. The dogs get their own inside warmed kennel with access to a large outdoor pen to play with the other dogs. We also have camera access to see our boy whenever we want. Can't beat the price and level of care they put into the place.

My wife and I ran a similar operation at home. As long as you're willing to sacrifice your grass, sanity and time with your own family and friends then it's great and the money is great too. However, it gets really draining when needy customers come into play and ultimately was the convincing argument for us to stop (ie: customers that required us to read a book to their pet goodnight and have to video record it, taking updated photos of their pet and send over text once per hour and on the hour; do that for 30 dogs). Overall, it takes time, and if you're up for it, it can be very rewarding
