I was eating white rice and wheat almost daily and managed to lose 8 kg...
I think it depends on the quantity you are in taking it..

In my opinion the best is barley, is low glycemic index and I make bread with it putting less that 100 grams in it, the rest nuts, eggs, and cheese.
