Peter Roselle: He Trains My Hands for War (Psalm 144:1)
Peter speaks at King of Kings on 10/6/2021 in part 3 of a series on praying for healing. The text is from Psalm 144:1 “Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war.” Jesus told us we would “lay hands on the sick and that they would recover.” (Mark 16:18) His brother James instructed people who were sick to call for the elders to anoint them with oil with the promise that “the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” (James 5:14-15)

Be blessed.
Remember: you have been “blessed to be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2)
Pay it forward!

Mark 16
17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Romans 8
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from
the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

John 5 – God does not use sickness to punish us
19 The truth is that the Son does nothing on His own; all these actions are led by the Father. The Son watches the Father closely and then mimics the work of the Father.

James 5
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins,
he will be forgiven.
16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
17-18 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and
it didn’t rain on the land for 3 ½ years. He prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

John 5 – Healing Power of “Assembling Together”
20 The Father loves the Son, so He does not hide His actions. He shows Him everything, and the things not yet revealed by the Father will dumbfound you.
21 The Father can give life to those who are dead; in the same way, the Son can give the gift of life to those He chooses.

Psalm 34:4 “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”

Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Luke 21:26 “…men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth…”

Psalm 55:22 “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you…”

Matthew 9
18 While he was saying these things to them, behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”
23-24 And when Jesus came to the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, he said, “Go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him.

Matthew 9
25 …when the crowd had been put outside, [Jesus] went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

Acts 9
37 [Dorcas] became ill and died, and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
39 When [Peter] arrived, they took him to the upper room.

Matthew 9
39 All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them.
40 But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

Matthew 9 (NKJV)
20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment.
21 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”
22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
