How to control your quality of life

Episode #1 of "2 minutes with Pat". Not everyone will experience a "Happy" Thanksgiving or a "Merry" Christmas. Rather, most people will have just another Thanksgiving, another Christmas and another New Year. Can we control these adjectives that define our life?

As I was reading the local newspaper today (handed out for free) I realized how shallow their goals for the new year are, and how many writers and bloggers don't realize the opportunity the new year brings. I have decided that newspaper is no longer worth my time.

I love this video! Going into the new year now, I am itching and so eager to succeed and show people I am something in life. Everyday I get told to stop and it's all a dream having a business but I always tell myself "look at where there at Rahman, they are just trying to crush my dreams just because their dreams were already broken." YOU know boss man, this reminds me of how holidays went for me growing up. Living in a large Hispanic family every holiday turned into a large gathering. As our family grew so did the holiday parties. Most would say that's is great however, with a larger family came larger issues. So every holiday came with more tension, more drunks, & bigger fights until I grew to HATE the holidays. Eventually I decided enough was enough. I took myself out of that environment & Happy holidays ever sense.

I understand what you experienced that night, we all come to a moment of realization, that alters the course of our lives forever. I turned 20 years old on January 6, and that night was my moment. Very unsatisfied with where I was in life, not excited at all about my birthday, I desired change. I was a year older, and time seem to me as if it were slipping out of my hands. I had to do something, I want my existence to have a positive impact in the existence of other beings.

Coincidentally on that night I stumbled on your channel, and I been following you since. I've watched all of your recent videos, and I love the content you put out. Especially the videos from the "Get Taken More Seriously As a Young & Teenage Entrepreneur" playlist. I showed the video "14 Ways Teenage Entrepreneurs Can Make Money" to my younger brother who is 13 years old because I honestly believe your content based on knowledge and personal experience as a successful entrepreneur can positively impact lives.

I find it fascinating that you take the time to teach the web about entrepreneurship, even with your busy life as the CEO of PHP. Your content is valuable, and you're offering free of charge. You're a real king maker, I truly admire that about you. You're seriously positively disrupting the old industry, and I love that! Talk about school being a big waste of time :)

Pat thank you for putting out this content! I live outside of Dallas and I just viewed your How to find a mentor if you are a teen! I've been reading on average about 2 books a week for a couple of weeks when I made the decision that I don't want to be average! Also, I want to indulge myself in knowledge!

Appreciation for life, opportunities, forgiveness, etc. I won't be where I am today without those people in my life, either my parents, my high school teachers, my business partner, my wife. sometimes words are easier to say but its hard to show appreciation for one another.

Real man wear pink :) - Had the same feeling like you this year. At the same time I saw this local tv show (in Belgium) called the sky is the limit (about people who made it). One of the millionaires explained how he started at age 28 because he also thought "is workign a 9 to 5 job you hate all what life has to offer?". Since I turned 28 this month, I made the firm descission to turn my life around. Already lost 10lbs, been smoke free for couple of weeks and writing down my business plan for my computer security business.
