I use a 7b. as a bass as well, it comes through nicely but I use take the stock pop filter off and use one I can put further from the mic so I can get some natural reverb in my recordings.

You have to try the RE20! Paired. With any pre or even the 4K switch on ssl is amazing! Captures the lows waay better than the SM7B and no proximity effect!

Hey fantastic! Thank you very much! Love the channel. I've been looking for this information for a long time. I need a mic specifically for use on stage where the band is using stage monitors, so good rejection of off center sound is important, as well as picking up the lower nuances of my voice. I can get down to a B1 chest, as sometimes just a little lower on a good day, and an E1 subh. Thank you or anyone else that can make a good recommendation. I'm getting kinda desperate, my Sen e935 isn't cutting it unless I darn near swallow it! (Yeah, I need to project more, I know, I'm working on it.)
