I did an internship for Wisconsin Public Radio and I planned their annual Listener's Dinner and I LOVED it. That's what first got me interested in event planning. Though I'd be okay doing weddings and such, but I loved getting to organize all the aspects of the event and see it all come together in the end was amazing.

When wrapping, I love to use gift bags, but I think wrapping a box and having a person open it is much more fun!!

I enjoy wrapping and unwrapping gifts much more than dealing with gift bags, but it seems like they always make the cutest gift bags! 😩 I also can never get the tissue paper in my gift bags just right!! 🙄 I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my dad when I was 18 years old. I don’t like to talk about his death either, but I do enjoy telling stories about him. It never gets easier, especially around the holidays, but I know he’s watching over me - as is yours. 💙

I did this once for xmas gifts and ppl LOVED it. Instead of writing names... i used photos!! I created a Word document to save on paper. Found a photo of the person or couple that i liked, and put it into my document. I could resize them to be smaller easily to fit several on a page. Printed out in just BW at home. So then, we could have the youngest nephews hand out gifts bc they just had to recognize the person in the photo, not read. People LOVED it and bc for baked goods it would be a couple or famioy photo, i found later they would keep the photo and it would be tacked up on their fridge or desk wall later.

I love wrapping it is more a secret cause the bags are just to open and it feels like i did not do evert with the present if i put it in a bag.your presents looks stunning

I like to wrap gifts, in boxes where possible and often with surprising results. I'm not picky about the boxes though. One spring, a single friend rang to thank us for the gift he found in a detergent box when his usual supply had run out and he needed to do laundry!

If I could suggest you try doing a dream board (Dollar tree has the foldable boards great for that) If you envision it on a board in front of you everyday, you will see your dreams start to manifest. No dream is too big, if you Believe! 😊

I love the way wrapped gifts look, and I like opening wrapped gifts, but I usually get the first few gifts wrapped, and then lose patience (because I'm a perfectionist with that type of thing) Otherwise, the gifts that I get people just don't have a box that fits. For example, I got my dad a bamboo grill scraper from Pampered Chef and I didn't have a box that fit it; so I used a wine bag!
