The WEIRD Mega Man Cartoon That Time Forgot…

Mega Man is one of gamings most well known and well loved franchises that has been around for decades. Because of this, Mega Man has had its fair share of changes, redesigns and reboots with the biggest one I personally remember being the Mega Man NT Warrior and Battle Network era where Capcom wanted to try and appraoch the property similar to Pokemon, from the gameplay of the video games, to making a brand new anime and of course all the toys and merch that come with that. But after this, Capcom would slowly turn Mega Man back into what it originally was. Let's dive into the era of Mega Man that time forgot.

This show was my introduction to the Mega Man franchise, as I watched it as a kid.

I just randomly thought about Zatch Bell! Anyone remember that?

I was really hoping Capcom would bring back the Battle Network series, but players could actually design their own Net Navi and have their own adventures.

The original starforce game's storyline is surprisingly mature. The character arcs are really welldone and a lot more refined than battle network.

This era of Megaman is one that influenced me to an incredible degree when i was a young impressionable kid.

I used to have a bunch of the toys, i still have the GBA cartridges i watched the show whenever it came on if i could find my childhood notebooks from elementary school i'd probably be able to find sketches of the characters in the pages.

Whenever i draw stuff my "Default" guy and girl just end up looking kinda like Lan and Mayl so something here had to end up clicking with me.

The Megaman RPG's and Pokemon generations 3 and 4 are just peak childhood nostalgia, so having Sinnoh games and the battle network collection on the Switch really makes me happy.

I think one of the most head turning things about the NT era of MegaMan was that he's Lan's twin brother who had died of a rare heart disease shortly after birth. Was odd to suddenly see that.

I wish the collection gave him that filter over his voice. It's just not the same without it. Glad you're talking about one of the biggest aspects of my childhood. 😄

This was so underrated, I prayed it would get bigger cause the PET toys were such a fun alternative to Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and beyblade

I only had one set of NT Warrior episodes when I was a kid so I really need to see the rest. But from what I remember, it was such a fun show. Glad that the Legacy Collection is finally here!

I love the original bumper ads. Just goes to show how much attention to detail Jordan has for these videos.

Battle network work was originally a horror game, but the tech wasn't there for it on GBA. So they made Battle network instead
