Great choice for a return to Aurora! I often return to this concert, and this song specifically, when I'm just craving her unique, beautiful voice, with no frills. At this point in her career, she still wasn't super comfortable as a performer, so she doesn't do a lot of moving around or interacting with the crowd. But she, along with her backing band, were absolutely at the top of their game. They just absolutely killed it during this show. And I love her voice especially in this song.

I absolutely love her entire look and style and vibe right around this time.
Same time as when she must have shot the videos for Winter Bird and I Went Too Far.

"Black Water Lilies was a dream I had. The melody was playing in the background. And I was dreaming that there was a hand, and I grabbed it, and it took me underwater. And there was a river, under the water, running down. And I floated on the river, under the water, and I came to this magic place with lots of black water lilies – floating on the water – which was underneath the water. It was a very strange dream. When I woke up I ran straight to the piano and wrote the song."

Glad to see you getting back into her!
Personally, I've never returned to Aurora's music. I've never gone back to it.
Because since March 16, day hasn't gone by where I haven't listened to her music, thought about it, played it myself, or watched/listened to interviews with her. In short, she's my favorite human on earth, besides family. So I can't imagine I'll ever _return_ to her....because that would imply having left.
I'm pretty certain this is a life-long fascination at this

I enjoyed your reaction very much. Aurora is very unique and in a league of her own. I would definitely watch the full Haik documentary, but, it might not be when/if you do a live stream. I subbed only for the Aurora journey, I enjoy other music, but, don't care to watch reactions to them, sorry about that.
