We pitted the Miele C1 Classic against the Kenmore Pop-N-Go 600 Series.
Purchase on AMAZON

When we shot this video, both vacuums were within $10 of each other. These are both canister style vacuums with a replaceable bag. That means the have excellent HEPA filtration and require minimal maintenance. The air in your home will be cleaner after vacuuming.

When you first made the video about the kenmore 600, I said I would try it out for my cleaning company. I bought 2 of the vacuums to let everyone try it out. Months have passed by. At first, nobody liked that they had to drag it around, because they were used to the backpacks, but the 600 just does such a great job! Especially on carpet, our clients have noticed the difference as well.

I wish Kenmore 600 was made into a backpack. It would be the perfect vacuum lol

Finally a real review instead of the AI generated garbage ones.

I am disabled, so a non-negotiable for me is being able to power the unit from the handle. Otherwise, I am constantly walking back and forth to the canister every time I need to pause the unit. It is an invaluable feature if you are vacuuming up on a ladder (e.g., air vents) with the canister on the floor and out of arm’s reach. Kenmore was the only brand I could find with that feature unless I could afford the $1, 500 price tag for the top-of-the-line Miele, which I could not. And that was 5+ years ago. No telling how much it would cost me now. 😕

The Turbo versions are PASSIVELY powered heads driven by canister vacuum motor suction. If you wanted an entirely fair comparison, you'd have to move up to the cheapest option from Miele that also has an electrically powered brush head, which I believe is the C1 Cat and Dog.

My mom had one from Sears that lasted her about 30 years. Before the moved the hose. It was one from the 1980’s.

That Kenmore is an excellent budget canister. I prefer my Miele C1 Classic since I have all hard floors and back problems, so the lightweight setup is a blessing. Also, the Kenmore hose is not crush proof and will get destroyed in an instant the moment one of my not-so-careful family members handle it. (They have no appreciation for a vacuum)

I get this question a bunch and think both types have their place. The Miele canisters are easier to service for sure and of better quality, but perhaps my most controversial opinion is that I think the new Kenmore power nozzles are better than the Miele power nozzles. The Kenmore nozzles clean just as well, are easier to service, and are incredibly reliable partly due to their simplicity.

I've had Kenmore vacuums the past 20+ years, have cats, and a now GSD (and still two cats) for the past 8. They pick up dirt and hair incredibly well. I've had few issues with either Kenmore. Just bought new 400 series today for a good price. Had the Pop-n-Go in the past. Went with the cheaper model because on the old Pop-n-Go, the tools are interchangeable with the 400 series. I have all the tools as a back up. The Kenmore you have in the video has a newer, and different attachment system so I wouldn't be able to use my Pet Mate tool. You are totally right about bagless, the last vacuum I had was a Kenmore bagless and I did not like it, very messy to empty and its never emptied completely. I actually still have both vacuums and both still work well. My wife made be buy a new one because they start to smell after a while, especially the bagless one even though I cleaned the filter frequently. A tip about vacuuming carpeted stairs, use the Pet Mate. Small and compact and much easier to use than the power head.

Just returned our Miele Classic C1 Turbo. It is pretty powerful BUT the roller would get full of hair instantly. A Bernese mix and Golden will do that. I spent 30 minutes vacuuming and another 30 cutting hair out of a VERY narrow area and this was on low pile area rugs. No carpets. Eventually I had to take the head to a service center because the hair was now getting in other places that could not be cut out. According to Mieles website, this vacuum is rated for pets. I highly doubt that. The next model up was way too expensive at around $800. I would have to say this is probably great for a no pet house otherwise you are just asking for a headache. We are trying the Kenmore next.

Yay! Was hoping to see a video about Miele! I have the Classic C1 and I love it! I have a small house with no carpet so it is perfect for my needs. It's my primary vacuum (Sunday vacuuming) and I just purchased the Laresar Elite 3 for my quick mid-week vacuuming (replacing a cordless Electrolux that was slowly dying).
Thanks so much for all the insight, I really enjoy your videos!

I am a 'buy once-cry once' person. I'll spend more and get a vacuum that will last longer and be more durable and reliable. Saves money in the long run.

Not having bought a vacuum in over a decade, I recently bought a Dyson Ball Animal 3 upright vacuum cleaner. Within 10 seconds I remembered why I hated the last upright that I used 35 years ago - it was too short (sore on my back) and heavy to push around. Plus, the hose was useless as the suction kept the hose from staying expanded. Vacuuming the stairs with the hose was such a lost cause I searched for an alternative the same night.

I really wanted a bagless vacuum and I discovered and ordered the Miele Blizzard CX1 cannister vacuum. It may have set me back $860, but the quality and quietness were noticeable also within 10 seconds - worth every penny.

I like this approach a one to one between a full complete machine vs a more easy one. Same price but different manufacturer, quality no comments, thanks for this nice video. Miele it’s light but it’s not ok for carpets. Also thanks to show the stick vacuums that are not good in carpets, I mean you can clean with it but agree with you it can be better. So here it’s for cleaning servicing and Kenmore wins still it’s heavier (yes it matters) and the other it’s lighter. Just for cleaning Kenmore should be enough. Some day I will buy a Kenmore I saw this machines at other channel that no longer stream content but he use to show old Kenmore and I like it.

I just purchased the Miele C1 Cat and Dog and its debris/dirt pick up is stellar. I actually also like the bagless collection system. I will take care of my investment and keep the filters and collection bin clean. I had a Kenmore that I used for years and probably would still be using it. It has great suction, lots of versatility, and is compact. But it's plastic housing and clips that hold the thing together are cheap, fragile, and all banged up after years of service. I got tired of having to tape it up. If the housing was made of better materials the Kenmore would still be my choice. As it is, the Miele is an excellent vacuum and I'm thinking it's the last one I'll every need to buy. It has all the powered turbo heads, etc, so more than comparable to what my Kenmore offered. I'm satisfied.

I appreciate your videos so much! I had no idea where to start when it came to buying a vacuum. Now, I think I’m getting the Kenmore! Me and my boyfriend live in an old building in the EU which is great but our apartment is SO DUSTY. Hoping this helps reduce the allergens 🎉

How much does the Kenmore cost over there? When I check the amazon link it says like almost 900 dollar... The Miele C1 didnt cost that much over here in EU

I almost bought a Miele but the absence of the roller brush kept me at bay. This video made the decision for me. 600 arrives Wed. 😎
