I've never bought a comic before. I've been given them. I've enjoyed movies based on them. But I've never bought one myself. I'm a 34 year old man, a firefighter, an author, a father of two. Because of your videos and your enthusiasm for these stories, today, I bought my first two comics. Dark Knights Metal#1 and a nightmare before Christmas comic for my daughters. I intend to buy every comic in this Metal series because I love the story so much, and I can honestly say, your enthusiasm in creating this content and sharing your love of this story is quintessential to my experience. Thank you for that you do, for taking the time to break these stories down for busy people like me. Im slowly working my way through all your videos, so many stories I never would have enjoyed without your passion and effort. So I wanted to thank you. And tell you your passion for comics has led to a direct support of this industry from me. I don't say this believing I'm anything special, I just wanted you that I appreciate t what you do, and I intend to support the comic industry in it's purest form, which I've never done before, because of your efforts. I just listened too a 4.5 hour Comics Explained video while simultaneously working and I no longer understand what reality is.

Warner Brothers seriously need to use DC comics' source material properly and faithfully where possible. DC probably has some of, if not the best stories in comics. The movies really have not done justice to the characters and stories of DC comics.

If you think I'm going to sit here and watch 4.5 hours of this, then you're absolutely right! I have, and read, the Metal series from beginning to end (including the tie-ins) and I'm still enjoying this.

i just recently found your channel and i love it. your enthusiasm is infectious and i really appreciate how thoroughly you cover these stories. i've always liked superheros but the comics felt inaccessible because of how often they refer back to older stories. the way you cover the stories fixes that for me. really glad to have found your stuff!
