Why the heck do you always have the thumbnail of this man crying?

This info is brilliant! I am prepping for the Italian C1 exam, and chatGPT has been very useful already. I love being able to ask for clarification when the question comes up and not wait for the next opportunity with a person or Skype partner. It is great at clarifying the distinctions that occur between synonyms, such as “hate” and “detest.”

Thanks for taking so much time and effort to create and test these prompts! I'm quite awful at creating my own, so this will benefit me greatly. 😊

A tremendous resource! Jerry knocks it out of the park not just with his videos but also with excellent support materials like this. I'm recommending it without reservation to my language-teacher colleagues!

Great PDF! Thanks! Quick question - what do the brackets around something mean in ChatGPT language (e.g. in the Demonstration input for Prompt #45)?

Hey! I've been following your channel for a couple of months now and I'm super impressed by the quality of the editing. Do you do the editing yourself or do you have a video editor? I'd be super interested to know!

This is fascinating and; I hope, useful information.
I am happy to buy your book but have 2 questions.
1. You mention that you will continue improving the wording of the prompts. Do those who buy an early edition of the book get free updates?
2. Can your prompts be easily altered by the user to adjust to their level with the new language?
Thanks in advance for your answers and especially for the work you have put into this project. Very admirable.

Hi, Jerry. I'd like to start by thanking you for sharing your knowledge and inspiration. I haven't bought the PDFs yet, so I might be getting ahead of myself, but I have 3 questions for you:
1. Am I correct in assuming that chatGPT can use wordlists that I provide from the textbooks I am teaching?
2. Isn't chatGPT learning from the prompts you're creating and the detailed instructional tweaks you're providing. In other words, aren't you making chatGPT better at helping language learners by doing what you've done?
3. Won't chatGPT provide instruction in languages that use different syllabaries? I'm at B2 in Spanish, and I'm guessing that I am at B1 in Mandarin and A2 in Arabic. So, will chatGPT converse in those languages, too?
Keep up the good work! I'm so looking forward to following your channel and your lead while using this new technology!!

Thanks for your hard work. Do we have to use GPT-4 to use these prompts? Can these prompts work on GPT-3.5?

Bought the PDF! Huge fan of your work. I've been experimenting a lot with prompting for language learning as well in the context of developing a language learning video game. I shared a link to this video in my Language Learning Games Steam group. Not many people there right now, but it will grow over time! :) I'll try to share the link in a new reply comment.

Chat GPT has been close but not quite good enough for me with Korean. It doesn't handle more than a page of text at a time even when you pay for premium version.
