I, as a patriotic American, have heard this song 1, 000 times, and still tear up every time! ❤

I haven’t met a soldier, airman, marine, sailor or coast guard that hasn’t cried during the playing of this song at least once. This song always gives me chills when I hear it.

This was done during COVID at different studios to lift peoples sprits. The first guy is Lee Greenwood. The other guy WHO AREN"T in uniform are in the very popular acapella group Home Free. There are no instruments being used in this song. The beat boxer for Home Free (Adam) does all of the percussion. Lee Greenwood wrote and sang this song back in the 80's and it is one of the most popular songs about the USA. Lee is a grammy award winning country artist.

I cry every time I hear this and for the men who died protecting this country, especially now seeing what has happened to America.

I was 6 years old when he released this song....we listened to it every morning after our pledge of allegiance. We need to make America proud again!

I’m an expat living in Wales. When I’m homesick I put this song on and cry. Our soldiers and most citizens understand this song’s significance. It’s our current President and his thugs who have called this beautiful songs message in question. We need to save our country.

Every time this song comes on my husband who is a combat medic during the Iran and Iraq war. A tear falls from his face. I have to wipe it away. Tell me is OK and tell him that I love him and I’m proud I am of him for doing the job that he did that most people wouldn’t have, so thank you for responding to this song

As an army mom, I can’t make it through this song without sobbing.

Another thing that is so impressive about this is that Lee Greenwood is 78 at the time of this recording. Can you believe the power he is still able to command in this performance. I think He truly does love this land. I don’t know about you, but I am very impressed!

You seem to have missed the fact that this also included the acapella group Home Free. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, doing the percusion always blows my mind. This was the song that was played at the commencement ceremony when I graduated from basic training in the US Army all the way back in 1989. It never fails to get to me.
