Thank you so much for posting this man. I’ve spent about $700 total on Google Ads for a few of my videos, but particularly my last video on my channel. Had crazyy growth in subscribers and views but my retention time on all the videos became trash. I was definitely feeling good until I realized the viewership completely tanked after I stopped running promo. I was always scratching my head life wtf is happening.

My last video definitely got a healthy amount of engagement though in terms of likes and comments. But even after that, the viewership dropped a ton.

I was under the impression ads were the way to go to quickly grow a bit of a following if you’re willing to spend a bit in the beginning, but now I’m just gonna focus on building my following a better way where my retention and returning viewership is much higher

Buddy did you go for your channel specific target audience? Because there is strategy also required for running Google Ads, seen very small channels that became quite significant due to google ads. Demographics, location, age, and yes the budget too play very imp roles, like run it for say 2 months continuously, then modify your strategy

Kevin, I have a serious question. I ran google ads on an old video to test it out. But stop running it on that 1 video. I started posting videos on the same channel. Can my future videos no longer be recommended to algorithm if I ran google ads in the past?

Hi great video. What is the recourse for a channel that has already run google ads for a year and is at 8k-10k subs with only 100-200 average views on videos?

I did this for a couple of video for the first time. It bumped up my views and subs but it ruined my analytics. Everyone hits skip so the retention is low. Now my views are lower then before. UGH I give up with YouTube.
