2023 Palisade has been updated with second row side airbags (in addition to the curtain airbags) and some work on the body/frame as well. Currently there is no * rating on the car stickers for side crash test, which I assume will not be until its officially re-tested for the side impact here.

Pretty disappointing from a vehicle that gets great reviews otherwise. Reason alone to consider other vehicles that do better in safety tests.

The only reason this car got Marginal was having Poor rating for the driver's pelvis. Hyundai/Kia must work on this if they want to maintain good reviews on Palisades and Tellurides

This was/is a 2022 Top Saftey Pick +. The resting criteria for side impact changed in speed and weight of the sled resulting in about 80% more energy. Only a couple of vehicles passed one being the Mazda CX-9.

Unfortunate. I'm sure H/K will update the structure soon but safety should be a priority above the bare minimum in all people haulers

Palisade Face Lift version came out about a month ago.
I hope to see a test for the New Palisade soon.

Bad result for a new vehicle. Hyundai puts in the effort where it dazzles the buyers and keeps the prices low with subpar behind-the-scenes engineering and safety.
