For those who live in whatever country is mentioned in this scenario, I have a few good survival tips and ways to prepare yourself before and after this occurs:

1. If you feel like this sort of thing is going to happen, buy and gather as much food and water as well as prepare an emergency kit filled with nonperishable food, water, weapons, medical supplies and a lot more, along with a battery operated radio (or hand cranked radio)
2. Buy enough wooden planks to board up all of your windows and doors, and if you have pets, make sure you keep them safe (and if so, train them how to defend themselves and as well as you and your family.
3. Make sure you have weapons with you (if you have a weapon that shoots projectiles, buy as much ammo as you can and/or arrows)
4. Train your family and friends to fight back in case you happen to run into the infected.
5. If you must go out to resupply on food, bring weapons along with you and be aware of where the infected are.
6. Stay alive.
If you or your family member or friend becomes infected, you know what happens.

(before video) Seems, this is a popular theme, it's in basically any entertainment medium. There's a zombie survival sim called Rebuild, and I've been playing the third installment quite a bit lately, it's subtitled *_Gangs of Deadsville._* It's pretty good. There's also zombies/undead in almost every single RPG ever. I actually wonder though, who first came up with the idea.
11:14 Hm. This always makes it sound a lot worse than it actually is. The best remedy for any illness/injury is rest. That and good food, along with minimal to no stress, is really all one needs. Yes, medicinal remedies for alleviation of symptoms are also good, but should not be the main course of treatment. The *_carrot beer_* of my homeland is decent medicine; it is really potent and doesn't take much to make one pass out.
16:56 Viral mutations that happen so rapidly happen because of the 'petri dish' effect. In other words, sheltering in place statistically makes it all the worse. Yes, viruses and bacteria can be airborne, but most infections occur and spread via direct contact, or in smaller spaces. Being outside in the open air, is the least worrisome. Otherwise, the first cases of the infected would be the homeless.
21:40 Any illness or injury can be lethal/crippling. Again, the course of treatment or lack thereof (employers and schools I'M LOOKING AT YOU) is what matters most. Of course, when symptoms are severe, the course of treatment becomes tougher to navigate.
35:24 Something I don't understand is even pondering the notion of staying in such a place, especially if one is completely disarmed/inept at wielding self-defense armaments of any kind. Those kind of people would be better off 'getting the fuck outta Dodge'. Sheltering in place, when one's shelter is not designed to withstand much more than changing atmospheric conditions, is a fool's merit. A death wish, to boot.

I have some tips/advice to increase your chances of survival.

- Find weapons, you’ll need them. Firearms and Sharp melee weapons are recommended.
- Try to get explosive rounds, they’ll be great for destroying the zombie’s heads.
- Board up all windows/entrances in your home/place your staying at.
- Get a Gas Mask, it’ll be great for preventing airborne infection.
- Try to locate the mystery box, getting your hands on a wonder weapon will increase chances of living by a long shot. Pray you get a Ray Gun, a MKII Ray Gun, or a Thundergun.
- Locate where every perk machine is, in particular quick revive and juggernog. Those two perks alone are life savers.
