Neither of these men seem to realise the primary point of having a fake. Nobody is looking at a watch in a nightclub and getting laid because of their watch. Also, fake watches aren't worn to show how much money you have either.
The primary point of having a fake is because you like the look of a watch but either cannot afford the genuine article or aren't willing to pay that much for a stupid watch. Simple.

One of my close friends had a fake rolex for years & he always had it on anytime he went out. He did this to remind him to keep working hard tell the day he can buy the real deal. Now he owns a few real rolex watches along with a Patek Philippe

There’s a video of rapper 50 Cent in which he states if they are going out to party while on tour outside of their home territory they will wear the replica watches and or moissanite chains because they’d rather give it up without a fight rather than having someone risk losing their life . This technique has saved some of his goons multiple times. But once when one of 50s newer henchmen got his chain snatched after 50 explicitly told the dude not to be flashy where they were at. The goon had to call 50 to tell him what had happened not knowing that 50 had given him one of the replica pieces of jewelry so 50 didn’t really care(even though he was able to get it back) but the person who got robbed was booted from the group for not taking orders and for tarnishing the reputation of G-Unit

I think the point is that if you wear a fake and someone aggresively demands it, you're alot less suicidal after giving up a £200-1000 watch than you are a 10k-200k watch. That said, fake watches are bad.

Most people can't tell a fake from a real one. Those that can you probably know. So wear the fake one as most people won't know and if it's stolen...your insurance won't go sky high. Also you keep your valuable ones in better condition
