Yet another winner from MG. Scarily good VFM. Not a lot to dislike. I don't think the Airplay connection test was that useful or fair. Once you have got in the car, put your seatbelt on and put the car in to gear, and start your journey, that would be enough time for it to connect. Otherwise a great all rounder of a car.

No Panoramic glass opening roof though? That's the best feature of our ZS Trophy EV. Super long range from the 72Kw battery. Its a really nice car.

Might be interested in one of these if/when they add an extended range like the MG4. Also in the video you didn't saty whether it brings you to a full stop under regen. Full OPD is a must for me. In my Polestar 2 it' is fantastic and wouldn't want anything without it.

One pedal driving it DOES HAVE. I test drove one at London Everything Electric show in April 2025, the same model drove it for 40 minutes in Full One Pedal. I have a MG4 64 KwH Trophy 18 months old, and I always drive it in one pedal mode. What I liked about the MG S5 is I don’t have to make lots of clicks to turn things off or on each time. It has lights in the back over the seats. It has a light roof liner, my MG4 is black and no lights. I also liked its higher driving seating, and you can get in and out easily, as the battery is thinner so you don’t catch the back of your legs getting in and out like I do on my MG4. SHAME no sun roof in the UK model. Bob from Kent England.

This car does have a one pedal drive mode. Second review I have seen which says it doesn't. Apart from that, decent review and looks like a decent car

Why when they review a car, they say there's plenty of room in the boot under the floor to store your charging cables. In other words should you need to use the cables to charge the car you have to empty the boot first before you can get to them just seems a little bizarre as to why that would be a feature.

Well i have so far only seen 1 out of 10 reviews of this car where the person doing the review actually FINDS the one pedal drive mode. It is in there just like the long range MG4. On another point i already have the OG MG4 (not extended range) And this would suit as the new car for the missus who needs a new one. Very well priced and if it drives like the mg4 it is a FUN car to drive. And the slow startup of software you know you can still just slap it in drive even if the screen is black and just drive off instantly.
