I've been travelling solo for the last few years, and I found this really useful. Thank you for making it for women as well, it gets really scary out there. It's gotten to the point where I don't go out at night at all.

Safety tips for women solo travelers in India - carry pepper spray all the time. Avoid shady palaces! There are also people who would help you in the time of need. Look out for help when in need.

This is great! I am building out a 1988 chevy van home to travel and work in film and tv and I have been worried bc I am a solo female traveler so I really want to make sure I take extra safety precautions. Thank you for making a video for fellow women. It can be a battle to be a woman in this world but we are so much safer if we have each other's backs<3

I'm glad I ran across this video because I'm considering doing some solo traveling myself.

A scarf around face won't really protect you from teasing, & catcalling, and mostly definitely not from people following you though.

study self defense. If someone tries to abduct you or hurt you and youre stuck in a car with locked doors, dont feed them fear and instead try to gain their trust through compassion and get them to open up if you can (this saved me a few times when I thought it was too late) .... If you need to use violence, jab in the eyes. Carry bear mase. I'm a freelance model and have travelled my whole life since I was a little child with my family and eventually, I lived from city to city and would survive wherever I landed, , as a model, always check references, give family members addresses + numbers. . . . I don't drink alcohol and stay away from clubs now. I avoid night life unless i'm with alot of friends (even then, it doesn't interest me+ not worth the risk) .. never walk down a street alone. EVER. if the street seems empty, wait till enough people are walking on it. Do not act like prey. If someone treats you like prey, make yourself really repulsive to them. The more you look like you walk with conviction + speed all the time ... the less they will pursue you. Make friends with sales merchants + store keeps + door people + everyone locally that you can, the more eyes you have who know you the more you will have people to watch your back. Trust your gut. Never feel like you have to people please and be kind. You owe no one any level of engagement. Carry an airhorn or something that can very quickly make noise. Use your vigilance to protect your innocence. Its a tiring world as a woman sometimes, but ya... its better to be safe than sorry.

Mostly general travel safe tips. But the gender stereotyping goes on.
