Alexander never conquered Indus Valley, he away ran with grabbing onto his life, with the slightest life that he had left through the Indus after being defeated and left by King Purushotama.

OMG this comment section makes me sad.I thing it is really stupid arguing about the origins of Alexander the great, who lived in a period that there was not a definition of 'nation'.I am greek but not a nationalist.If we look at an ancient map early Ancient Macedonia was 50% Fyrom and 50% northen modern day Greece.And those days there were not national groups but multicultural empires and kindoms and city states.Culture and civilisation is the THING here.You canτ say that an ancient kindom was a certain nation by the place it was establised.There was a thing to say that i am Ionian or Athenian or Thacian just by the place you lived.There were Hellenic city states like Athens and Sparta and hellenistic kindoms like Epirus And Macedonia.They all used to speak greek, very similar to modern day greek, they praised greek-roman gods .Ancient coins have been found in modern day Irac with the face of Alexander and the word ' βασιλευς' the greek word for 'king'.But again Greeks cant say that they are direct descendans of Alexander '(because the late roman empire used greek as an official laguage but this didnt made it a greek empire but a multicultural one), same goes for people from FyromALL this thing about alexander being Greek Or Macedonian is stupid especialy after great migrations of slavs and anatolians in the region during the early middle ages on the Byzantine empire(in my opinion it is the late Roman empire).It is a fact that Macedonia was a Helenistic kindom with a lot hellenistic characteristics but not 100% GREEK or any other nation cause Macedonia was a !!!MULTICULTURAL!!!(greeks, thracians, illyrians, ionians and at last persians) Empire WITH HELLENIC characteristics!
