Derramando uma envolvente doçura, a voz de Solveig cantou
Uma canção que falava da espera do seu amado que tardava
Tanto a chegar. Grieg, o compositor norueguês, a retratou
Em sua suíte Peer Gynt. A vida do casal, que muito se amava,

Foi narrado em peça dramática de Henrik Ibsen, começou
Em olhares que buscavam a mesma direção, numa festa
De casamento, um encontro festivo que em ambos atiçou
A flama ardente de seus corações. Ela uma pessoa honesta,

Estava acompanhada de seus pais e trazia em suas mãos
Um livro de cânticos enrolado num lenço. Seus cabelos
De cor-de-trigo, seus olhos de azul turquesa, eram bençãos

Cintilando como as lâmpadas da festa. Apenas um encontro
De olhares, o suficiente para Solveig, em seus amáveis anelos,
Não perdê-lo de vista, mas, ele se foi. No final, o reencontro. (*)

há cerca de 15 anos uma amiga, de longa data, presenteou-me com um CD que ela trouxe da Alemanha. com Edvard Grieg, que eu ainda não conhecia. mas, pouco antes de falecer, meu pai esclareceu: ‘Edvard Grieg foi um dos maiores expoentes da música escandinava’. Edvard Grieg nasceu e faleceu na cidade de Bergen. Noruega.
