Great insights, and glad I landed on your channel.

I actually do both design and dev but with ZERO code, and I’m currently creating a curriculum for a web design course. My focus is on 3 areas: Strategy 50%, Design 30% and No-code development 20%. This ratio is also how the income from web design projects is shared.

So, while it’s good for designers/creatives to learn code, my 2 decades experience in design has taught me that Strategy is the one thing that designers and developers should really strive to understand. It is the bridge between the business world and the creator world, and your ultimate path to much higher income - be it as an employee or freelancer.

To kick off, start reading and consuming content on Creative Strategy. There’s a lot of great content by Chris Do on his channel “The Futur”.

Thank you so much for this video. As someone with experience in Graphic Design, I have always heard web design and web development, and seen it in job ads but never really bothered to look it up.
