Hi, my name is Merrill Kazanjian. New York City is an amazing place to go metal detecting. We have lots of parks, colonial history and great beaches for beach detecting. I am a treasure hunter. So in addition to metal detecting, I go mudlarking at sites such as Dead Horse Bay. Think of mudlarking as metal detecting without a metal detector.

My most important series is called Becoming A Millionaire Metal Detecting. I am trying to monetize my favorite hobby in order to do it more in the future. In other words, we put the clad we find in the ground, affiliate earnings, and merchandise earnings in to the stock market and we invest it. This show started in January 2019.

And you know what they say about opinions, yep that's right everyone has one.

One thing you don't put in your list is ease of use. The deus 2 is super complicated. Where as the nox is turn on and go go go.

It might be interesting if you had a way to let viewers rate the metal detectors they've used (with your rating system) then compile the user rating into a user's average rating and compare that average rating (among multiple users) to your rating.

I heare that minelab working on new beach detector its launching within 1 year its defth is more than nox.

It is good to know there are three different detectors that are all really good. Your ratings seem to track with what I have heard from other places. It should help people to find their next detector. I too wonder what MineLab will be offering as the challenges have been made! (PS I see you are gardening too. A different form of dirt digging!)

Thanks for this!👍In total agreement! Swing the Equinox 800 and love capability but since I’m not in the market right now, not going to the Deus2. Will probably be there when Minelab launches their replacement to the Nox.

Do you consider the length of warranty, and how many years parts are available? A longer warranty and company support, would be worth paying more I think. Thanks for comparing these detectors.

I think Coils play into also. Example would be how good is the Mars Tiger coil?, for its size it seems as good on seperation as the stock simplex coil, I put it up against with the Eurotek Pro, and the Tiger coil is larger than the simplexs stock.

To get a 5/5 for battery life how long should it last?

I have hundreds of hours on the Nox and only 24 hours total on the d2 but... Places I have blanketed with the Nox the D2 did bring out 1 or 2 more coins thats not a HUGE difference but it does tell me the seperation in Iron and modern trash is better with the d2. Running .7 update now but weather is keeping me from hitting the places I spent days in with the Nox. I also like the 2 lb weight of the D2.
