In the year 12 AH, corresponding to 633 AD, Caliph Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq sent Khalid bin Al-Walid to confront the Persian Empire in Iraq in a battle that later became known as Dhat Al-Salasil. Khalid bin Al-Walid is considered one of the greatest military leaders in history, as he participated in 100 battles without suffering any losses.
