Congratulations!!! I don’t think people talk enough about how it’s actually an average of a year for a healthy couple to get pregnant, you’re only fertile 5-6 days a month (less if you have a shorter cycle) and even with a successful egg/sperm meet the odds are still 30% of it becoming an embryo. We’re not taught this in school because there’s so much scaremongering about us not getting pregnant! Then women feel like there’s something wrong with them if it doesn’t happen straight away!! As somebody who struggled with infertility, it always breaks my heart to see others share their disappointment in the waiting too. Thank you for sharing that side of it as well. Rushed over here from Insta ... what lovely news. I had actually been told we could only conceive using IVF - so made an appointment. Week before, hubby and I went on ski trip. I skied and fell and went off piste, etc, etc. Came back from trip and thought I had the flu. Did pregnancy test at 4 am ... bingo. Was never so happy to cancel an appointment in my life. Loved being pregnant. Hope it goes well for you as well x

As a purposefully childfree woman I'm always weirdly excited when other people get pregnant because I get to see 'the other side'. I find everything surrounding having kids scary and intriguing, and I find it so interesting to see how women I respect in other aspects of life experience and deal with motherhood, if that makes sense. So if you're worrying at all about viewers not relating, I bet I'm not the only one who can't relate but will still be interested in your journey :)
