Is there another good example of something powerful that metaprogramming can accomplish?

a good objective for the talk, but the presentation is poor. Even the whole sadness of the guy alone can repel any listener. Then you get multiple "futures" with a random new method "complete"... Yeah, you can imagine where all of this is going from the start. But why not present it clearly and make the point well?
