Her choice of words may be poor but what she said is right. We all know that a number of low skilled Indians are going there on the pretext of education after having sold their property here and are looking for low wage jobs right after they land. It’s hurting bilateral ties and is causing a lot of bad name to us.

There is a Canadian way of life, etiquette, matters, culture, things you do and behave when in Canada. Example, saying Thanks and Sorry, hold the door open for someone else, etc. Some people follow that, most don't nowadays. Hence the resentment towards new migrants. New migrants need to assimilate and integrate to the Canadian way of life. Just like how we would expect if someone migrated to India to assimilate and integrate to Indian way of life in India.

As a Canadian born Indian I completely agree with her. My parents' generation came to Canada and other countries and adapted to the Western culture while still holding onto their traditional ways. They worked extremely hard to build themselves up. They never took any social assistance because they were determined to make it on their own work ethic, and it was a pride issue as well. They built a strong reputation and gave us a better life. Now, anyone and everyone is slipping through the cracks, and these immigrants that come feel no need to change their ways because its basically like India here for them, and they are way too comfortable. I am so ashamed of these people and hate that they have tarnished our great reputation. They have ruined what took decades to achieve within a matter of a few years. I understand that it's not all, but it's enough that the world has noticed, and it sickens me to my core. I'm glad this woman said this, not that it matters because these uneducated people will not change.

As a White Canadian I can say that most people of Canada know of the many admirable qualities of Canada's Indian descended population. It is obvious that Indians, as a whole, are a fine and positive segment of society. HOWEVER, Trudeau's Liberal extremist immigration policy to flood Canada with newcomers from various regions of the world, including India, at a pace that exceeds natural human relationships from forming gradually, is the problem. There is no society on earth that has been more tolerant of a complete change in the nature of its composition as Canada has been. Yet, everything has its limits. The majority of Canadians, of all backgrounds, feel that immigration levels should be tied to the capacity of Canadians, new and old, to form a unified cooperative whole, rather than falling into a fragmented society. Shame on Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh for their extremist view that no number is too high. That defies all logic and HARMS EVERYONE. Trudeau is obsessed with Canada having a large population as if size by itself defines quality of life. If that were true, then India would ALREADY be the world's paradise because India is already the world's most populous nation. A large population size is a different matter to quality of life.

You don’t need immigrants for low skilled jobs since local people are already there for such jobs. The purpose of immigration must be to address labour shortages in high skilled jobs.

I grew up in Toronto with friends from Indian background and they always fit in nicely with the culture. I think that Canada having British heritage is a bridge between the two countries. But the behaviour, education, class, respect, etc. of the new groups that are coming in are very different from the groups that came in 30 years ago. I have good friends in Mumbai who say they feel ashamed of the behaviour they see in Canada because it gives their country a bad name. Unfortunately many white working class Canadians cannot see the difference between the high-quality immigrants of SA background we used to accept and the ones of low-skill that are causing issues. It is certainly creating more racism and I am sorry for the respectful Indians who face more prejudice today because Trudeau’s irresponsible immigration policy.

I somewhat agree with her. I know people who didn't know English and were very casteist while living in India, moved to Canada because someone from Gurudwaras sponsored him and now he is working for the Khalistani agenda in Canada. And he has a strong dislike towards lower class people and people from other religions. I have heard from people that this person behaves the same way in Canada.
