Cap guns and candy cigarettes. Being a 90s kid was great!

Dude, Me and my cousin started my grandma’s carpet on fire with one of these. It shot a spark out and it hit the carpet and boom… instant fire! We were like 6 & 7, was scary at the time but pretty funny now. The burn is still there today and I’m 22 now 😂

Yeah that's about how these work. Only about 3 out of 8 caps actually fire, and them the flimsy firing mechanism breaks, because it's being held in place by duct tape and bubblegum.

When i was a kid, there were kind of similar gun toys here at my homeland. They could shoot tiny harmless projectiles using real gun powder charges. One day after school, dad called me to the living room and shot me with one on my chest. But as a safe toy it was pretty fun. Nowadays those are not manufactured anymore.

These where my early childhood. My grandma found my fathers old roll cap guns with like a box full of rolls. No shots failed

I loved cap-guns as a kid and one time a spark shot out and hit my jacket I was wearing and it got set on fire, I loved that jacket back then, I instantly took it off and had to stomp it out, at the time I was only 10 but I could have died, glad I stomped it out.

Dude I'm 30 born in 92 and still miss playing cops and robbers or Vietnam War play or cowboys and Indians with my friends with cap guns abd the fake electronic Vietnam weapons and all the accessories. I still got 10 cap guns from my childhood 4 of them was my dad's that he had in late 60s as a kid abd they are pairs that cane in a set of two called double dueling cowboy revolvers set. They are made out of cast metal with beautiful bone or ivory looking grips on the handle abd they take fake bullets that you load with black powder abd shoot basically kids version of blank guns. They take a very small amount of powder it's no louder then a 22 lr and you install a 22 lr primer on the back of the metal bullets to set off the powder. My dad ended up making orange plastic tips fkr them cuse kids parents was scared cuse they looked like abd sounded like a real revolver. So all he did was take some orange caps off cheap cap guns and put a set screw in cap so yoy wouldn't have to glue or epoxy ot on and ruin the antique cap guns xuse they are rare and vintage and hard to find I still can't even find a broken one anywhere on internet for last 10 years looking so I had sent all 4 off to be appraised and was told from a expert toy appraiser that these are a special and was given put to only employee of the month to Smith and wesson management to give to their kids or keep as a beautifull display pieces. My dad bought them from a thrift store for 5 dollars for all 4 of them with all the metal bullets accessories and all back in mid 60s appraisal came back 8.5 out of 10 condition and is worth around 5-12k at auction value per set of two cuse they match and are replica 38 special cowboy revolvers. The other 6 cap guns are regular cap guns that take the paper rolls abd plastic rings I got 3 cowboy revolvers ones that you slide paper strip accross the hammer opening and the hammer sets off the paper caps. Abd the rest is 2 riffles that take two rolls of paper caps at same time and sets off two charges at same time cuse they are rifles and should be louder then a regular pistol one. And ingot one black 1911 looking one the takes plastic ring caps. All my guns in mint condition just hard to find caps gotta use ebay and Amazon to find the caps and my nephew loves emm

When I first moved to America I looked at these and said, “This is the most American thing ai can think of, it’s disgusting.” Then about three days went by and I bought 7 so me and the neighborhood kids could have duels
