Considering its in my top 10 favorite films of all time, Breathless 4K, is an instant buy for me. Love that film so much.

Gene Siskel named One False Move as his number 1 movie of 1992, Roger Ebert named One False Move as his number 2 movie of 1992. I've been wanting to check that one out for years so I'm gonna pick that one up.

Great video James. At the top of my list are these films: Triangle of Sadness, After Hours, Targets, Petite Maman, Chilly Scenes of Winter, Thelma and Louise and a few more. I know it hasn't been announced but am hoping for the July sale at Barnes and Noble. Hope you have a great weekend.

The Piano, The New World, are also great. I love Triangle of Sadness!!!!

My copy of THE SERVANT arrived today… I pre-ordered it (forgetting about the B&N sale). I’ll definitely be picking up TARGETS during the sale… also ONE FALSE MOVE (saw it when it first came out).

A caveat re: THE SEVENTH SEAL and RULES OF THE GAME — their 4k transfers look incredible BUT neither title has HDR or Dolby Vision encoding!

EATING RAOUL is a hoot… extremely funny movie (provided you appreciate “gallows humor”).

12 Angry Men, Amores Perros, The Game, The Thin Red Line, The Irishman, Menace II Society, Come and See, and Police story 1/2. Excited to dive into each one!

I'll probably get Chilly Scenes of Winter but I am disappointed it does not have the commentary found on the Twilight Time Blu-ray which I also have. I'll definitely get Fisher King 4K, Thelma & Louise 4K, After Hours 4K, One False Move 4K, Targets and Petite Maman. I have the Studio Canal 4K of Breathless so I need to check reviews of the Criterion to see how it compares. I also have the Studio Canal 4K of The Servant but it appears Criterion's release has some extras not on the Studio Canal release. May need to think about that one. I'll likely get a few more as July rolls on with Rules of the Game 4K and Wings of Desire 4K a couple of likely suspects. I have a UK Blu-ray Box Set of the 5 Ranown Westerns and recently watched them -- all enjoyable, but I am curious how much better they can look in 4K and may get that set as well. I need to save some space for some Arrow films too as they usually have a 50% B&N sale during the same month. Meanwhile, I need to get caught up on Criterion releases from past hauls I haven't watched yet. 😃

Great video! New subscriber here and relatively new Criterion collector (only about a dozen in my collection so far). For the July sale I'm looking at Three Colors Trilogy 4K, Rashomon, Yojimbo/Sanjuro, and possibly After Hours 4K.

Great video James! I am incredibly excited about this upcoming sale.

I will probably pick up 5-7 titles, but here are my top 5: Petite Maman, Bottle Rocket, La Poison, My Man Godfrey, Moonrise.

I'm looking forward to getting Wings of Desire and After Hours.

Thanks James. Criterion is one company that I could blind buy with and most of the time get a film that I really enjoy.

After Hours is the new release I’m most excited about. Sword of Doom, City Lights, Holiday, Uncut Gems and Malcolm X are on my list for this sale. Some may have to wait til November for budgeting reasons.

I’d highly recommend Marketa Lazarova if you’re interested in the Czech new wave. Really impressive movie.

I've just gotten into wanting physical media again after years of not having purchased a single DVD or Blu-Ray, so I am totally new to Criterion. My first goal is going to be to collect all of the Criterion Cary Grant releases on Blu-Ray. We'll see how many I grab this time around! But I definitely want at least Notorious, Charade, Bringing Up Baby, and The Philadelphia Story. Debating whether to hold off on His Girl Friday because it's a bit more expensive than the others, so I might prioritize Holiday or The Awful Truth first!

Great video, James. I am going to pick up a handful for sure. Plan to pick up Wings of Desire 4K, Branded to Kill 4K to upgrade my old DVD, Thelma and Louise 4K, One False Move 4K, The Fisher King 4K, and After Hours 4K—which has to be the most exciting announcement for me from Criterion. I want the Steve McQueen set but will wait. At this point I cannot justify picking up any of their back catalogue given how many are receiving 4K upgrades. Cheers to you, sir.

Criterion should also do a special 4K UHD version of PHANTOM THREAD. An excellent performance from Daniel Day-Lewis.
