Today I've been making use of my current resources, my "Colourcraft Brusho" pigment powders, that I've had sitting in my cupboard for a while to make a new set of colour resources to use in my art journals and mixed media projects. The beauty is - they don't cost a lot of money!!

Hi Mike this was amazing, thank you. I am completely new to all of this so it is so helpful for newbies like me. I love the way you so neatly organise all the colours in the bottles. I can’t wait to see how you work with these fabulous hues. Always brightens my day when your vlog pops up Mike, thank you for keeping us all going, it means such a lot. Big hugs and loves to you, Ian and the fabulous Mr Bentley. Keep safe and vigilant Everyone Dorothy ❤️😘🌟🙋🏻

I have waited to buy brushos because I didn’t think I would use them that much. With this alternate use, I can see buying them. Thank you for sharing. Hope you all are well. Hugs from NC, USA.

Hi Mike. If you aren’t using distilled water, or even if you are, put a splash of isopropyl alcohol in the mix to prevent it from forming mold over time. I’ve made these with acrylic paint and added alcohol...a year + later, and no mold. I added a ball bearing to the bottle to aid in mixing, but with the Brusho you probably don’t need it. It should stay I suspension, right? Great way to use up some of your powder! ❤️

I love all the blues, plus leaf green & rose red brushos. I have nearly all of them but those are my favourites. 😁❤🌈🇬🇧

Hi Mike, good to see this technique again. I have been doing this with Brushos for a couple of years after seeing a video by Nina Ribena. I add a little surgical spirit (rubbing alcohol) to prevent stale smells from forming and sometimes add mica powder. If you hold the top of the bottle and shake it by swinging it from side to side, it's less likely to clog the nozzle.

Hi Mike, very interesting. Don't have anything myself to make them with, but is worth keeping in mind for future use. Thankyou for sharing.

I have also done this with Dylusions and craft paint. Extends your paint so you can use them multiple ways without the cost. Works great!

I'm sure you'll find these very useful and you're right we have to use what we have. For a while now I've been making spritzers using food colouring and they work well too. People reading this and wanting to try it could pick some food colouring up in the supermarket when they're doing their weekly shop. Just a suggestion. Thanks for an informative video.

Fantastic idea! Ty so much. I am going to copy you but add to the label how many small scoops I used so I can replicate the shade if I need. Ty ty ty

Great information and video there Mike, I ordered bottles straight away (came today) and will now start using my Brushos as sprays. Just wasn't using them often, the mess was putting me off, but this is a great way to use them! Thanks again for sharing this x

Hi Mike great experiment. I have used fabric dye instead of brushos and also food colour with reasonable results. Have a great day, your garden is starting to get established well done both of you. Also noticed bluebells on your WALK with Mr B, love to see the spring flowers starting to pop up. Have a great day.

Hi Mike. I have Brusho's but never thought to turn them into spritzers. When this video first started I thought you as being very brave because when I use my Brusho's I manage to make a MESS every single time!.lol. Glad you showed a demo at the end as I was curious to see how they worked. Thank you for sharing....have a nice day!
