I was there when gaijin announced that they were adding bomb skipping. I remember young KrebsCOHO trying it out before he took a break and changed his name to just Krebs. It was shortly after they added tanks if I remember right.

I did this years ago when trying to go through the Japanese bomber tree. Skipping it is much more effective in terms of speed then lining up with the ship from the front or back.

That's my favourite way of bombing, it's a certain hit on any ship, its more accurate than dive bombing, also safer, depending on the ship and on your altitude you can even enter the blind zone of the flaks

Bomb skipping has been a long lasting feature in the game, it's very effective at knocking out ships if you don't have a torpedo

The other 5% actually fly airplanes in SIM mode. Skip bombing is in the game since beginning.

I remember trying this out in 2014 when I found out about skip bombing in some documentary. Literally the only way I've bombed ships since then.

Videos on skip bombing has been done before.. But yeah, you might be right.. Most have no clue.

The british had round bombs in ww2, they would bounce great distances on water. They would be used to blow up enemy bunkers and other fortifications near the coast. These round bombs are actually easier to aim than normal bombs.
