Some names were forgoten... AC/DC, The Who, Iron Maiden, Creedence CWR, Aerosmith... and I'll never understand how much underrated Bob Marley is, his cotributions to music in general were huge, and every ska/reggae band after the 70's exists because of him.

Thank you for nominating deep purple. Ritchie blackmore is was a phenomenal influence for all metal Rock guitar players in the 70es and 80ies. He is a bit often forgotten today
