Ignoring Pharaoh’s constant refusal of the truth that lead to his hardening is like ignoring all the steps a criminal makes to end up with life in prison. That permanent condition was built on a bunch of actions.

💯 Agreed that we can glean much from those in the secular realm. Thank you for your ministry; it's an oasis in a Calvinistic sea of confusion.

I agree with you, Leighton. I’m 61 years old and find the longer I live, the more nature fascinates me, baffles my brain how people can believe that the intricacies of life are not controlled by a Creator. I see a bug as small as the period at the end of this sentence, complete in itself, with legs, a full body, reproductive abilities and think to myself, wow, God. How incredibly awesome you are!

I love what Dr McGee said about God hardening Pharaoh. He said that he hardened him like when we wring out a wash rag: He put him under pressure that brought out what was already there.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your take on this video. I watched the original video recently and experienced several "Wow!" moments in it. One was when Prager gave the actual Hebrew definition of the word translated "hardened" in the KJV (and other translations) as "strengthened." Thank you for sharing!

I love Dennis! I'm have no doubt that he knows that death is the prescribed punishment for "missing" the Sabbath (Exodus 35:2). I would like to hear Dennis reason why Jews no longer need to adhere to this, sacrifices and more. I pray that Dennis and other practicing Jews loosen their hearts and find Jesus as their Anointed One!

Congratulations on reaching 85k subscribers!!! I have watched 8 to 10 of your videos in 2 days . . .

I am delighted & relieved that God allowed me to find you basically in the nic of time . . . before I was sucked in completely to Calvinism . . . RC Sproul & Ligonier is a great resource for teaching & learning, but once I finally was able to determine that RC did not believe in the Rapture, was amillennial & infant baptism . . . I was impressed that John MacArthur could debate the great RC, stand toe-to-toe with him in his belief on scripture & he did believe in Rapture, premillennial & adult decision baptism - but how these 2 unwavering preachers held great respect & admiration for one another despite serious differences, that in itself is extremely valuable life learning lesson!

Recently, I happened upon "the perfect church" just in time to get grandkids into VBS, attended a newcomer session & volunteered in kitchen to get to know many if these people & it was a wonderful week!!! Suddenly, videos from a variety of sources started popping up on me, many hostile, angry, (hurt), confusing, controversial - 1 in particular was MacArthur at a Parson Conference with John Piper in 2022 - admitting he was indeed a full blown Calvinist, time that he should admit it & that he has been leading his congregation in this direction for 40+ years, without their knowing it!!!
Which part of that is the most disturbing? The deception!!! Was he making a public confession?
I suspected the video could be AI manipulated, by someone purposely targeting MacArthur moreso than any other Calvinists - but then other people videos were popping up with strategies of Calvinists, listen for specifics - sure enough, "Well then, you are an Arminian!" I had never even heard of Arminian, don't even put me into that box, so then I began a quest, what is Arminiam? From what I've learned, I think Arminian is closer to what John Calvin actually was preaching, well after his death, they twisted much of his doctrine & then to learn T.U.L.I.P. didn't get put in place till 1930's . . . OUTRAGEOUS!!!
That's about when your videos started showing up, yours & BEYOND THE FUNDAMENTALS both on the same day, a few others, but at least you are not portraying hurt anger & vengeance, but sincere drive to try to reach these people & enlighten them!!!
I really want your ministry to thrive, GOD BLESS YOU!!!

The strengthening of Pharaoh's heart was also brought out in the book by Roger Forster, combating Calvinism over 40 years ago "God's Strategy In Human History".

In that discourse with Pharoah (Exodus 4:21 - 14:17), there are at two Hebrew words that have translated into English as harden, or hardened. Prager only mentioned one, and that is the Hebrew word châzaq, which means, like Prager said - to strengthen, or to be courageous. But, there is another Hebrew word that’s used in Exodus 7:3 for harden, and that word is - qâsâh, which means to be cruel, fierce, severe, make grievous, make stiff, and harden.

Every person on earth plays out this same battle every day when we choose evil and we ignore that voice deep deep down that tells us not to do it and we do it anyway then you harden your own heart and if you keep pushing it one day that voice inside will go silent then that person is capable of any evil thing under the sun.

It does 100% exactly the opposite.

If free will didn't exist, God wouldn't have had a reason to harden pharaoh's heart. The story absolutely requires that free will exists in order to make sense.

Sin leads to unbelief and ultimately causes one to depart from Christ.

Hebrews 3:12
[12]Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

I believe free will, looked at from a materialist perspective, is a logical absurdity. However, looked at from a subduelist metaphysical paradigm, it’s ‘ beyond’ A vs non A.It’s transcendent.
