Quick correction -

We refer to Tetsuya Nomura as producer, however on Final Fantasy VII he was actually character designer/battle director.

It's funny how fondly the gamecube is remembered, but back in the 2000s, everyone in the gaming industry saw it as a complete mess of a failure. It wasn't selling well compared to the PS2 and it didn't have blockbuster hits like the Xbox, yet it was still beloved by those who owned one. Still, it was rough being a Nintendo fanboy at the time cuz it was pretty much the butt of every gaming joke.

Fact: the GameCube failed because it could not compete with the GameSphere. The GameSphere was SPHERICAL and the GameCube wasn't.

Alas poor GameCube at least it's getting recognition now that people are slowly moving away from the "It has to be a realistic fps" phase

I remember this console was shat upon because of the lunchbox shape and all the cartoony games, while a lot of its lineup was criticized for straying away from the formula (Super Mario Sunshine, Star Fox Adventures, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, etc.). Oh, how times have changed.

Did you know: When starting up a GameCube and going to the system's menu, then selecting the "Game Play" option to load your game, you'll notice the game being loaded accompanied by by a purple "PRESS START!" logo. Most GameCubes have this text displayed in a dark purple color, however very early models of the GameCube have this text displayed in a red/pink color.

The hand error from Twin Snakes could also imply a muscle injury taking place at some point between MGS3 and MGS. If he broke his forearm or his hand and then fell out of practice with his gun he might have just trained more with his right hand only. Additionally, that could explain his ability to quickly pick up using his left hand after the injury. Another explanation could be simply arthritus.

Surprised Animal Crossing didn't come up during the N64 port list.

About the Twin Snakes bit, it's far more likely Ocelot was pretending he couldn't shoot left handed on purpose.

Nintendo is sitting on a goldmine. If they released a GameCube classic collection on the switch, that would automatically be the game of the year hands down. The GameCube was gods gift to humanity. We are just waiting for its return.

"We're willing to bet you're watching this video because, like us you LOVE the gamecube and it's exclusive line-up of games."

Actually, I never had a gamecube. I had a Wii, but didn't end up buying many gamecube games for it. I have no real sentimental value towards the gamecube, or it's library.

I'm watching this video because this channel puts out consistently high quality videos with entertaining facts and tidbits which rarely fail to entertain me. So I'm willing to click on videos from you about games I've never played knowing that it's going to be a fun 10 or 11 minutes of well researched facts that I may not yet know.

So, good thing you didn't actually bet, because with me you would have lost that bet, but still won at life. Love your channel!
