Here’s a tip for you. Set the laser off the finished wall line the thickness of your straight edge that you use to tap the board home with then just tap the board until the laser line in on the end of the straight edge. This will let you place the laser on any wall that doesn’t have a doorway, like in this video. Tried and trusted. 👍🏻

Another tip...Place the laser on a piece of plasterboard which is about 400mm square, and you will find that adjusting the laser line by holding the corners of the board is so much easier. Fine adjustment when twisting the laser is so difficult because the slightest movement is huge at the end of the room but on a bigger moveable surface its so much easier to control. Difficult to explain but trust me, it works.

Great tip John! I do the same but only have a smaller DeWalt DW088K laser so it's slim enough one one side to place next to any wall and get the perfect line set to the plasterboard edge for dot and dabbing over long walls and especially up one or two flights of stairs.

Habito plasterboard John/Tony. I have yeses it in my hallway and I’m going to re-hang my radiator. Have you hung a rad on it without Rawplugs? 150 x 50 . They say you can but you guys are in the real world, any feedback much appreciated

Just wondering, have you noticed much difference between the expensive laser levels and the cheapies? I bought almost the cheapest one on Amazon recently (I’m just a DIYer) and it seems pretty good at least on short distances
