... Ohhh in competitive games..
I was going to say that you can take 50 if you have them. Had a game that was DDay and most of my chimeras exploded due to the mines in place from cultist. We only lost 1200 infantry within the first hour of the game. My artillery couldn't really do much and after counting how many shells we used. 60 earth shaker rounds and 48 heavy mortar shells and about 10 Russ tanks before we could establish a beachhead. and that was just a 5 turn game that was funny enough a 6 hour game.

Edit: You can actually only take three squads of Agents still. For some reason I thought they were battleline.

You can actually run 10! If you attach an inquisitor to an inquisitorial agents squad, that squad does not take up a retinue slot! So you can take two squads led by Inquisitors, (taking up your character slots) two more squads by themselves, (taking up your retinue slots) and bring an inquisitorial chimera for each of them!

Mordian: could you do a video on how Ogryn bodyguards work? I don't understand when to use which toughness and save when they are attached to a command squad which is then attached to a battle line unit.

GW needs to bring the Gryphon (Heavy Mortar) and Chimdon (Battle, Conqueror, or Taurox Cannon) back to cement mech. guard as a viable formation. The light mech units need A.T. and Indirect fire support. All vehicles based upon the Chimera hull.

Maybe also give the Hydra for A.A. and objective ground support? Flyers could make a comeback with the new codex. Loose the Tauroxes, keep the Chimera types.

Scouts could be other 2 old open top chimera types, also brought back. Perhaps give them a closed top option? Or just use sentinels.

correction. The Inquisitorial Agents datasheet specifies that you can attach them to an inquisitor and they don't count towards the retinue limit. You could take 9 chimeras, and have one with a full retinue.

I like to run Heavy Intercessor bricks in Anvil Siege Force. 10 Heavy Intercessors with Lethal Hits hitting on 2's and wounding on 4's can blow up Chimeras pretty reliably.

I think pretty much the same setup as mordian is taking other than id run min units of agents, with the 1 multimelta and inquisitors psycic power out the top. Then pick up an ogryn squad and upgrade catachans to kasrkin. Allows for 3 deepstrike scions, or 1 command squad to join a 5 man and have a hammer unit deep strike

Don't see anything to stay behind and sit on the home objective - not even a humble 30 point Commissar. Might want to look at some Indirect units of something to fill the role of back-fielders?

you went allies before a Bully Bus??
CRASSUS, (fire support same as a Taurox Prime) now either fill it with 12 Ogryn for ap 2 Damage 2, 36 shots, 72 if rapid fire range!
Or Bullgryn and have an instant nightmare on an objective (both)

Great video though!
Miss having and organization chart for deployment? Or enjoying the freedom?

By my reckoning, a mechanised infantry company would require 13 chimeras at minimum (depending on additional, attached, battalion level (or higher) assets)…
It used to be possible to take chimeras independently, as an armoured asset (fast attack or heavy support, I forget which) the weren’t “battle line” so you were limited; but they were a separate “datafax” from the dedicated transport version. That allowed nine, and the Forgeworld turrets meant Forgeworld had their own “datafax” to include their options…
It didn’t work, of course; not outside narrative games…

At Frist glance i'd try to Find the points to splutge a little more on the deathwatch. Probably replace the kasrkin with catachans ist one Cut that might not Gurt too much 🤔
