Gotta give a shout out to Rasputin and the other WarSats for doing their best at trying to save humanity, and even after the collapse and centuries past it.

Instead of going fuck yall and skynetting. It sticks by its edicts and decides even though it’s free to do whatever. It chose in its free will to protect humanity in the way it sees fit. Which so happens to luckily coincide with guardian interests. If I remember correctly, it even thanked you when you freed it from its confines back during that season. Would love to see his return in the final shape, pulling up with a bunch of old and new warsats it collected/made during its departure from the setting, and saying what’s up bitch ready for round 2.

My read is that Savathun did something to cause the Traveler to stay and also tricked the Witness to go elsewhere. The Veil is likely key to both. I still think the Traveler groomed some people to be amazing guardians with a plan hidden in the programming of their ghosts and all the rest of the guardians are just misdirection with ghosts with completely free will. Considering the Witness has access to basically all consciousness, the Traveler couldn't have entrusted a whole plan to anyone else. That kind of scheme also seems like Savathun's kind of cunning. She is absolutely helping the Traveler, the question is how long has she been a double agent?

You forgot again to mention the earth government and military like any idea what happened to them are they still around is there remnants of them like in underground secret military and government bunkers or military bases that survived or navy fleets at sea somewhere like Hawaii or a earth space fleet hiding somewhere? And can we and when reclaim the rest of earth and our city’s and then start rebuilding it why are we not doing that yet we have the manpower and resources and blueprints as well and knowledge for a proper earth military and government to reclaim and rebuild earth and why you are not taking about it or not mentioning them at

The old golden age era ruins is probably one of destiny's most wasted potential, its the least explored aspect of the game when it comes in exploration.
D1 did this well and D2 ignored it.

With all that has happened to Earth, hints are also made to how the biosphere of the planet was disrupted. Animals like wolves are scarce now, poisoned water, devastated geography, etc. I imagine part of why Humanity gathered at the traveler is perhaps due to its terraforming effects mitigating the ecological disasters brought on by the collapse. Anywhere else would be not only hostile territory due to raiders, but also because the land is unlivable. There were some hints about settling the EDZ but Bungie hasn't touched that thread since the Red War days, likewise with Hawthorn talking about living outside Last City.
