A major annoyance I found with an HT814 I purchased, is that it destroys the ring cadence of my rotary telephones when more than one port is active.
The manual misleadingly states, "When all the FXS ports are registered, the simultaneous ring will have one second delay between
each ring on each phone" which implies it is only an issue with all ports in use.
Why it is an issue on the 800 series, when my HT502 rings 2 FXS ports simultaneously perfectly, I don't understand?

Although the HT800 series offers a pulse dialling option in the latest firmware, this seems to be optimised for the US make/break of 40%/60%, rather than the UK make/break of 33.3%/66.7%. Despite having turned pulse dialling on in the HT802 and having free running dials passing the 'One thousand One Hundred and One test for a dialled '0', neither of my BT 700 series phones will successfully pulse dial. In addition they will only ring if a ring capacitor is added via a BT microfilter or equivalent gizmo - something else that is not a US requirement, but is needed for UK analogue phones.

Our HT802 is plugged into our own router and it and the wired internet is powered via a UPS box to keep the phone up for a while if there is a power cut.
