Passing for 276 yards and two touchdowns, Brady orchestrated a 96-yard drive to give the Patriots a 10-9 lead at the half that tied the Super Bowl record for longest scoring drive. He also completed 16 consecutive passes in the game to set a new Super Bowl record as well. Though his record-breaking effort was in vain, the loss would ultimately fuel Brady’s return to the big game two seasons later where he finally ended New England’s 10-year Super Bowl drought.
