Once upon a time, Jafar lived with a bunch of other folks in a jukebox that resided in a railway station, playing songs for whatever employee or passenger that inserted a nickel.

When I heard he'd be playing Jafar on stage I thought of the dialogue from Moulin Rouge - "Nobody could play him like you!"

"Nobody's going to."

He also voiced Stolas' father in _Helluva Boss_ .

Originally, Disney wanted Patrick Stewart to voice Jafar but because of scheduling conflicts with Star Trek: The Next Generation, Jonathan Freeman was chosen to voice the iconic villain. And we're all very lucky that happened! No offense to Patrick Stewart! 😅
